Welfare Rights Service

All our Welfare Rights Advice is provided by our Welfare Rights Officers Elaine McIntyre & Stuart Sargent.

How We Can Help

Our Welfare Rights Advisers are equipped to assist you with a variety of benefit-related issues, ensuring that your income is maximised and that you receive all the benefits to which you are entitled. Maximising income is a key focus of our Welfare Advisors' roles. Their expertise in Social Security and Social Security Scotland enables them to advise on potential entitlements, assist in pursuing claims, challenge decisions, and submit benefit appeals on your behalf. Our service is entirely free and confidential.

How to Access the Service

If you are a tenant of Provanhall Housing Association, Blairtummock Housing Association, or Gardeen Housing Association, you can contact them to arrange an appointment with our Welfare Rights Adviser. Appointments can be conducted via telephone, in person at their offices, or, for those unable to attend, home visits can be arranged.

  • Appointments are available on the following days:

  • Provanhall Housing Association: Every Monday and Wednesday

  • Blairtummock Housing Association: Every Tuesday and Thursday

  • Gardeen Housing Association: Every Tuesday

Additionally, we offer a Drop-in Service every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at The Connie, 39 Conisborough Road, Glasgow, G34 9QN.

Our Advisors are highly accommodating and will work with you to schedule an appointment that suits your needs.

What Assistance Can I Receive?

Our Advisors are experienced in addressing a wide range of issues related to the benefit system. We recognise that there are many misconceptions regarding benefits, who qualifies for them, and how to navigate the claiming process. You will be treated with respect and provided with impartial advice, empowering you to make informed decisions about your circumstances.
